Significant Bank Database

You are only one mouse click away from accessing a unique banking dataset. The Significant Bank Database contains balance sheet, income statement and regulatory data for 143 banks. They include the banks that are designated as significant institutions by the ECB. Together, these banks cover about 80 percent of total assets of the euro area banking sector. In addition, the dataset contains O-SII and G-SIB banks from the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Croatia, and Switzerland. The dataset begins from the year 2009, and it currently covers the years up to 2023. Thus, this dataset gives you a privileged view on the euro area and the Western European banking sector.
